Developer access renewal
Developer Access Renewal is a service that reminds you to periodically review the developers that have access to your seller account and make sure that only developers you are actively working with are allowed to use Amazon MWS on your behalf. When you grant access to a developer, their access lasts for 12 months from the date it was granted. You can renew the developer’s access at any time to extend it for 12 months from the date of renewal. If you do not renew a developer’s access to your account before the access expiration date, their access to your account will be suspended and the software that you are using will stop exchanging your data. You can restore a suspended developer’s access in the Authorization History table.
Note: Developer Access Renewal does not apply to your own account access.
Renew a developer's access
To renew a developer’s access for another 12 months, click Renew access for that developer under the Action column in the Current Authorizations table. The Date last renewed for that developer will change to today’s date, and their Access expiration date will change to be 12 months from today’s date
Register as a developer
If you are using MWS as a developer, before you can develop Amazon MWS applications for yourself or others, you must register as a developer.
To register as a developer:
Go to the Amazon MWS Permissions Manager.
In the Amazon MWS developer information section, click Register as a developer.
Fill out the Register as a developer form.
Click Verify to verify the email addresses that you enter.
Click Sign up.
Your Developer ID appears.
Click Your developer credentials - Do no share these.
Your AWS Access Key ID and Secret Key appear.
You can access your Developer ID and developer credentials at any time using the Amazon MWS Permissions Manager.
To edit your developer profile, click Edit developer profile in the Amazon MWS developer permissions section.
View your developer credentials
To view your own developer credentials, click View your credentials under the Action column in the first line of the Current Authorizations table. The credentials will display in a popup window, which includes:
AWS Access Key ID: A 20-character alphanumeric identifier.
Secret Key: A 40-character password linked to your AWS Access Key.
Status: Indicates whether the key is enabled or disabled.
Note: These credentials are for your use only and must not be shared with anyone. Sellers are prohibited from sharing their Secret Key and AWSAccessKeyId with third-party developers or applications.
